I'm a mechanical engineering student at the University of Washington. Most of my work starts as a CAD model and ends as a machined part I can hold, and I like the whole path in between: tolerancing, choosing hardware, cutting parts on the mill and lathe, and finding out what breaks once it finally moves.

Robotics is where most of that has happened. I led manufacturing for a FIRST Robotics team that reached the world championship, mentored a high school team through their own designs, and now build competition mechanisms with UW's Advanced Robotics club, where my main project is a two-axis wrist. On my own I model things like swerve drives and a 3D printed motor to understand how they actually work.
